By The Geraldine R. Dodge Poetry Program (other events)

ABOUT ABOUT

Join us among one of New Jersey’s most engaging art collections at The Noyes Museum of Art.  Led by an accomplished Dodge Poet, Image to Image will feed and refresh your creativity. The conversation with your group, and the artwork you’ll encounter will invite you to doodle, journal, sketch, or draft poems or other writing.  A significant portion of the day will be self-guided, allowing you to explore the artwork and respond at your own pace.  Time will be set aside to share your experiences and your writing (if you wish) with the rest of the group. Critiquing writing is not part of this activity.

Working New Jersey teachers from all grade levels and subject areas are welcome to register.  4.5 NJ Professional Development hours are awarded.   Retired teachers may email [email protected] to be put on a waiting list.  In the event that there is space in a workshop, retired teachers on the waiting list will be invited to register.

Admission to the Museum is included.  Coffee and tea will be available during the day, courtesy of the Noyes Museum.  Lunch will not be provided.  There are several casual restaurants and cafes within five minutes of the museum.  There will be ample time for  lunch during the self-guided portion of the day or you may bring a lunch and enjoy it on the Museum's deck overlooking Lily Lake.
